Chairman of SWANI Group discusses prospects for economic cooperation with delegation from Business France agency
In a move that reflects SWANI Group’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships and developing Libya’s industrial sector, Engineer Rashid Mohammed Sawani, Chairman of the Group’s Board of Directors, welcomed a high-level delegation from Business France, affiliated with the French Embassy in Tunisia.
The meeting was held in the capital Tripoli and served as a strategic platform to discuss ways to activate joint cooperation and open new horizons for investment and trade. This cooperation aims to support industrial development in the country through quality partnerships.
The French delegation began the visit with a detailed presentation on the nature of Business France’s work and its global activities, highlighting the possibilities and mechanisms through which an effective and sustainable partnership could be established. The delegation emphasised that this partnership would directly serve the Libyan industrial sector, enhancing the competitiveness of both parties and achieving mutual benefits.
For his part, Engineer Rashid Al-Sawani welcomed the delegation, pointing out the strategic importance of these meetings in exploring promising opportunities and strengthening economic relations. As Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Business Council, Engineer Al-Sawani proposed expanding the scope of this cooperation to include various businessmen and economic institutions in Libya, explaining that the main objective is to create an integrated economic environment that attracts foreign investment, which contributes to the transfer of expertise, localisation of technology, and support for local products in line with national development plans.
The meeting concluded with an agreement on the need to continue coordination and consultation during the coming phase. This coordination aims to develop a clear roadmap that translates ideas and discussions into concrete projects on the ground, serving the development goals of the Libyan economy and supporting the building of strong and sustainable economic relations.
